Thunder at The Kentucky Center returns!  Enjoy the excitement and spectacle of Thunder Over Louisville from the comfort of The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts. Make The Kentucky Center your home base for the day while you take in all the action. In addition to incredible views from all three levels of The Kentucky Center building and ample outdoor viewing space on the Belvedere, you can enjoy live entertainment from Bourbon Britches and karaoke hosted by Redline Performing Arts, along with free Hip Hop Dance Classes from Louisville Dance Alliance’s Josh Ford, trivia games in the Lexus Lounge hosted by Louisville Trivia, books and activities from Louisville Free Public Library, free Facepainting by April Allen and Wil Jones, Louisville Slugger’s mobile museum, and more.  Families will appreciate convenient access to The Center’s restrooms, activities for the kids and food service and concessions without waiting in long lines. There will be multiple bars available where adults can enjoy a variety of beer, wine options, and specialty cocktails.

Parking

There are two options for parking in The Kentucky Center Garage:

• Prepaid parking. CLICK HERE to reserve your spot.  The cost is $25.
• Parking day of the event is $25. First come, first served based on availability.

The Kentucky Center Parking Garage will open at 9:00 AM. Please visit thunderoverlouisville.org for information on public parking spaces within walking distance of the river.

What Can I Bring?

PROHIBITED ITEMS:

• Absolutely no weapons are allowed inside the facility.
• No illegal drugs or paraphernalia are allowed inside the facility.
• No coolers, canopies, umbrellas, or drones.
• Only service animals are allowed inside.
• No outside alcohol, food, and drink can be brought inside The Kentucky Center or taken to the Belvedere
• Bags will be subject to search before entry.

*Security reserves the right to prohibit any items.

ALLOWED ITEMS:  Chairs and blankets are allowed but must be set up outside. First come, first served.

Strollers are allowed.

The Kentucky Center will provide seating in the lobbies and on the North Terrace of the Belvedere (concrete area).

How Do I Enter?

The following entrances will be open:

• The front doors at the top of the stairs (Main Street side)
• The Street Lobby (located next to the front stairs, Main Street side)
• The double elevators or stairs from The Kentucky Center Parking Garage

Seating Inside The Kentucky Center

There will be a limited number of seats available on The Kentucky Center’s Balcony Level, first come, first served.  The Grand Tier Level is standing room only.

No outside chairs cannot be set up inside The Kentucky Center.
